Intro to Raja Yoga Sutras: Making My Mind a Friend, Not My Master

Swami Sankarananda

Raja Yoga is the Yoga of Meditation, meaning the method of escape from the pain of our minds controlling our lives. We commonly misunderstand the power of our own mind, and yet it is the one factor that determines whether we are happy in this life or if we suffer. Study and Practice of Raja Yoga are most important as they lead us to re-assert our natural dominion over the mind - and controlling our mind, bringing it to the place of equanimity, brings balance and ease into our lives. Join us to re-discover the nature of the mind, and the science of Raja Yoga. Swami Sankarananda is a pilgrim of peace, a vessel of love, and a beloved friend of YogaFest and Song of the Morning. He is the spiritual leader of Divine Grace Ashram in Arizona. 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. EST
